Forefront is an intense VR shooter featuring 32-player large-scale battles, land, sea, and air vehicles, and immersive, tactical combat. Take the battle to land, sea, and skies with vehicles like humvees, quads, boats, APCs and helicopters.
I did my internship at Triangle Factory and later got offered a temporary contract to keep working there during the summer. While working there I worked on Forefront where I gained experience with networking, XR development, and working on a large scale project with source control.
During my time there, I worked on a variety of tasks like debugging networking issues, quality of life improvements in menus, and new features. It was a great opportunity to train my systems thinking and problem solving skills. The most valuable thing I learned was networking in my opinion. It is such an essential part of so many games nowadays but it was never taught during my education. That is why I'm very pleased to have gained real world experience with it in a professional environment.
